The price of Steem rose to over 20 cents during the last 24 hours. While I’m sure the rise in the price of Bitcoin has some effect on altcoins, I think we are seeing many return to Steem with the anticipation of the release of Smart Media Tokens.
We have also seen some details of the EOS “Voice” project which seems to indicate that Voice will not be a direct competitor of Steemit. I think this is a positive for both Steem and EOS.

EOS maintains the number one spot as most active Blockchain for the last 7 days. Steem ranks number 5 with over 990,000 transactions. TLOS is ranked number 2. EOS has an astounding 46 million transactions. These numbers represent the number of transactions in the last 24 hours.
The Center for Information and Industry Development has released the latest rankings for cryptocurrency.
EOS takes the number one spot. Steem ranks number seven with Bitshares following close behind in 8th place. Ethereum is number 2. TRON, NULS, NEO, and Lisk are also in the top ten.

This week’s blockchain activity chart ranks Steem as the fifth most active blockchain. EOS has the most transactions this week with TLOS ranking in second place. WAX and Tron (TRX) rank third and fourth. Both Steem and EOS have maintained a top five ranking for over a year.
